1. Dr. Arabinda Mitra, the executive of INDO-US science & technology forum. Arabinda Mitra was appointed in December 2004 as the first Executive Director of Indo-US Science and Technology Forum. Dr. Mitra who has a rich mix of scientific and administrative experience, by training is an Earth Science Systems scientist, with a Ph.D from the University of Cambridge, UK. His scientific foray spans from working in the Himalayan ranges while serving in the Department of Atomic Energy; to the bottom of the oceans - as a graduate student working on the mid oceanic ridge systems in the Universities of Delhi and Cambridge; and then onto the remotest southern continent of Antarctica - as a project scientist in the National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Goa.
2. Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala, the Professor of Electrical Engineering, IIT, Chennai. Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala is Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India and was department Chair till recently. He received his B.Tech degree from IIT, Kanpur, and his MS and Ph.D degrees from the University of Maine. From 1979 to 1981, he was with Washington State University as Assistant Professor. Since 1981, he has been teaching at IIT, Madras.
3. Dr. Saswat Chakrabarti, the Chairman, G.S. Sanyal School of Telecommunications. Dr Chakraborty being the Chairman of G S Sanyal School of Telecommunications had finished his Ph D from IIT Kharagpur. He is the Associate Professor of G S Sanyal School of Telecommunications. His research areas are mainly Wireless Communications, Error Control Coding, Digital Modulation Schemes, Mobile Adhoc Networks, Bio- Telemetry.
4. Dr Subir Chowdhury: After B.Tech (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in 1956 and M.Tech in Industrial Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Dr. Chowdhury received PhD in industrial Administration by the University of Manchester, UK in 1961. He was awarded D.Sc (Honoris Cause) by the Bengal Engineering & Sciences University for his contribution to Management Association (FIMA), Operation Research Society of All India (FORSI), Indian Institution of Engineering (FIIIE) and Association of Engineers (FAE). Dr. Chowdhury was conferred the Ravi J. Mathai National Fellowship Award by the Association of Indian Management School in 2003 for his contribution to Management Education. In 1980 he received the Lilian Gilbreth Award by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering for his contributions to the profession. Dr. chowdhury was Director, Indian Institution of Management Calcutta (IIMC) from 1992- 1997 following his tenure as Director, Indian Institute of social Welfare & Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata.
Dr.Chowdhury was a member of All India Board of Management studies (1994-96) and also acted as a member of different policy making committee of the Ministry of Human resource Development ,GOI. He was also a member of the Managing committee of all India Management Association from (1992-98) and of the Calcutta Management Association from (1992-2000).
Dr Chowdhury was the recipient of the first ICI Indian Scholarship for studies in the UK from (1958-1961). He has published a number of refereed papers in journals of repute. He is the author of monograph ‘Management Education In India’ published in 1999. He has edited two books on “Economics Liberalization and Quality of life” in 1994 & “Blending the Best of the East & the West in Management Education” in 2002. Some of the Invited talks Delivered by him are: Dr. Deepak Merchant Memorial Lecture -1982 at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay,Prof .S.K Warrior Memorial Lecture-1995 at the Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering, Biplabi Leela Roy Memorial lecture-2005 at the Jayashree Foundation, Surender Nath banerjee Memorial Lecture-2006 at the Bharat Sabha, Bhupendra Nath Basu Oration-2006 at Federation Hall Society, Prof.M.C. Bora Memorial lecture-2007 at the Tezpur University.
